Overview

TD Direct Investing offers cash, TFSA, RRSP and FHSA accounts. Its $25 quarterly household maintenance fee can apply below $15,000, although several waivers are available and FHSA-only households are exempt.

Regular Canadian and U.S. stock and ETF trades cost $9.99 in the transaction currency, apart from selected commission-free ETFs. Active Trader pricing requires at least 150 trades per quarter. Options, partial shares, foreign exchange, regulatory charges and service fees have separate pricing.

WebBroker and the TD app serve everyday investors, while Advanced Dashboard and TD Active Trader provide streaming data, advanced orders and deeper options tools. Some premium data access depends on trading activity or household assets.
