Overview

Scotia iTRADE offers cash, TFSA, RRSP and FHSA accounts. TFSA and FHSA recurring fees are $0, while cash accounts can incur a quarterly low-activity fee and RRSPs can incur an annual fee unless published waiver conditions are met.

Regular Canadian and U.S. stock and ETF commissions are $9.99 per online trade in the transaction currency. More than 200 selected ETFs can trade commission-free, but a regular commission applies when an eligible ETF is sold after being held for less than one business day. Active pricing requires at least 150 commission-generating trades per quarter.

Clients can use the Scotia iTRADE app, Scotia online, Trade Pro or Trading Desk. Currency conversion, extended-hours ECN charges, options contract fees, service charges and professional market-data fees are separate from headline equity commissions.
