Wealthsimple made its 2026 standard referral promotion effective June 8. A Canadian adult referrer needs accounts in good standing and at least $100 of net deposits from outside Wealthsimple. A referred adult must be new and the primary holder of an eligible Trade, Crypto, Managed Investing or Chequing account.
The new client must use the referral link or apply the code within seven days of first funding, then receive at least $100 in external deposits or institutional or crypto transfers during the 30-day funding period. Internal transfers, peer-to-peer payments and Wealthsimple-issued bonuses do not qualify.
Each party receives $25 in an eligible Wealthsimple chequing account, generally within 24 hours after qualifying funding completes. The bonus must remain at Wealthsimple for 180 days or may be recovered. Each referral must involve a different person; cross-referrals are excluded. The program has no fixed end date and may generally be combined with other offers unless their terms say otherwise.
