A post in the unaffiliated r/Wealthsimple community reported being unable to replace a lost Wealthsimple prepaid Mastercard. Wealthsimple's help pages confirm that it is not accepting new physical-card requests or issuing replacement physical cards while it works on changes to the prepaid card.
Wealthsimple directs clients to contact support about a lost, stolen, or damaged card and says it will lock a lost or stolen card. Its virtual prepaid card remains available for online purchases and can be added to a supported digital wallet, but that is not equivalent to a physical card for every use, including ordinary card access at an ATM.
The official request page says there is no timeline to share, while the replacement page says new physical cards are expected in the coming weeks. Because those statements are not a firm availability date, clients should not assume a replacement will arrive by a particular time. Wealthsimple offers a notification form for when physical cards return.
