Tangerine announced nationwide access to its Shell fuel benefit for eligible Tangerine credit cards. A cardholder must enrol through Tangerine and link the card to a Shell Go+ account, then pay with that linked card at a participating Shell location. Linking, changing or removing a card can take up to 48 hours.
The current continuing benefit is an instant 3-cent-per-litre discount on all fuel grades, limited to 1,000 litres per month for each Tangerine credit-card account. The limit is shared by the primary cardholder and authorized users and resets monthly. A Scene+ membership is not required for this base discount.
The advertised higher values combine separate benefits and assumptions. Through March 6, 2027, a linked Tangerine Rewards World Elite Mastercard receives an additional 4-cent-per-litre instant discount on Shell V-Power fuel. Its advertised value of up to 10 cents per litre also assumes Scene+ points and a particular redemption value. Money-Back cards can reach an advertised value of up to 8 cents per litre only when gas is a selected 2% category, the fuel price supports the stated cash-back equivalent, and the cardholder links Scene+ to Shell Go+; actual value can be lower.
The 3-cent base benefit has no stated end date, but Tangerine's terms allow changes or cancellation subject to applicable notice rules. The additional premium-fuel discount is the time-limited part of the current offer, not the nationwide launch date.
