Scotiabank announced a group of Scotia app updates, including downloadable and shareable receipts for bill payments. Each receipt can show the amount, payee, date and confirmation number, giving clients a record without relying on a screenshot.
Eligible clients approved for a new Scotiabank Visa card can add it to a mobile wallet from the app and use it before the physical card arrives. The release does not say this is available for every client or card network, so it should not be treated as universal instant card access.
The update also includes in-app reporting for card fraud, more transaction details, and push-notification improvements for two-step verification. Scotiabank describes predictive prompts that can flag upcoming payments, but these prompts are assistance rather than instructions to move money or schedule a payment. Feature access can depend on the client's account, card and app version.
