Questrade announced a broad platform refresh in r/Questrade. Questrade's official pricing and Questrade Pro pages directly support the released pricing and platform details.
The concrete current changes include no commissions or contract fees on U.S. equity options and a Model Context Protocol connection that lets a client authorize an AI tool to inspect account context, prepare actions, and send trades to Questrade for confirmation. An AI-generated order is not self-executing: Questrade says the client receives a push notification and must confirm before it goes through.
The rollout also introduces conditional automation called Flows. Questrade's current product page says creating Flows requires Questrade Pro, and several examples remain labelled coming soon. The announcement similarly describes Equity Engine as coming soon and links a waitlist, so neither roadmap language nor a demo should be read as universal current availability.
This July 30 post is the umbrella rollout announcement. Questrade's separate ongoing RRSP contribution match is tracked as a promotion entity rather than folded into this platform report.
