Meridian Credit Union announced the launch of Interac e-Transfer Cards, available to members starting November 17, 2025. A sender can choose a standardized digital occasion card while sending an Interac e-Transfer through Meridian online banking or the mobile app.
Meridian described the cards as currently free to send, rather than promising they will always be free. Interac says each participating financial institution sets its own fees. Adding a card does not create a separate payment method: the money still moves as an ordinary Interac e-Transfer and remains subject to the sender's usual account fees and transfer limits.
